Top Area Advertising Honored at ADDY® Awards

WATERLOO — The best in area advertising was honored at the 2009 ADDY Awards on Thursday night at the Waterloo Elks Club. The annual awards ceremony is sponsored by AAF-Cedar Valley.
Of the over 270 entries, 30 Gold ADDY Awards and 61 Silver ADDY Awards were presented. Entries were judged based on creativity, originality and creative strategy.
The top prize, Best of Show, went to Dana Lechtenberg in the “Sales Promotion, Packaging Campaign” category for Rudy’s Tacos hot sauces.

The three-tiered ADDY competition, held by the American Advertising Federation, is the world’s largest advertising competition. The top 15 local winners move on to the District ADDY Competition, and district winners advance to the National ADDY Competition.
